I am Olive Bernstein, a piano teacher with over 2 years of experience teaching students of all ages. From true beginners to intermediate piano students, I am here to help you reach new heights as a pianist by teaching you valuable foundations such as finger placement, sight reading, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, and the basics of music theory. My teaching method is centered around creative and expressive musicality, integrating necessary skills like site reading and the foundations of music theory to provide progressive instruction tailored to each student's needs. I come from a classical piano background and now play with a singer-songwriter focus. My teaching style honors both classical foundations and stylistic innovation for those students who want to explore composition and songwriting. I engage students in interactive online learning experiences using a variety of tools such as live-scroll chord charts, interactive sheet music and online quiz platforms such as Quizlet for memorization of theoretical concepts and vocabulary. As your tutor, my aim is to foster a deep understanding of and passion for music, ensuring your continuous growth and success.
