My name is Jalen Lopez-Russell, I am a highly polished instructor in Spanish, who also performs music in my native language. I come from a mixed heritage background and grew up speaking Spanish dialects from Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Colombia. This gives me a uniquely diversified cultural context to be able to show my students ways to grasp the language and become fluent in conversation, listening, and literary ability while still having a fun and relaxing environment. I have also had relevant experience as a professional interpreter and have multiple years of experience, teaching people remotely as well. My methodology and teaching approach lies and practicality, sensibility, understanding, and usability. I understand the importance of vocabulary without making it monotonous to learn. I also always try to approach every student where their knowledge already lies, whether you are an absolute beginner or speaking in the C levels of fluency. Since I myself personally grew up being immersed in both languages, I can explain the subtleties in idioms & expressions and niche Grammatical rules with which non-native speakers often have troubles understanding without explanation. Another huge advantage of my teaching style is that I have references from growing up with three distinct dialects of Spanish in my life, so I’m able to offer my students are buried and diverse understanding of Spanish from different countries as well
