About your chess coach
With over five years of dedicated chess-coaching experience, I’ve worked with students of all ages to help them strengthen strategic thinking, discipline, and confidence. My coaching style is patient, clear, and structured. Instead of relying on memorization, I focus on teaching core principles piece activity, tactical patterns, positional understanding, and long-term planning so students can adapt to any situation over the board. I create personalized improvement plans for each student, identifying their strengths and targeting the areas where growth is needed most. During lessons, I encourage students to explain their reasoning, analyze key positions, and reflect on their decisions. This approach not only improves their chess ability but also builds broader critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. As a good and supportive instructor, I strive to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, asking questions, and learning from mistakes. I combine game reviews, puzzles, guided practice, and real-time feedback to ensure steady progress. Ultimately, my goal is to help every student grow at their own pace while developing a genuine appreciation for the game. Whether they aim to compete seriously or simply enjoy learning, I’m committed to helping them reach their potential.

Chess classes overview
My teaching methodology guides students smoothly from the opening to the middlegame and finally to the endgame by building a clear, logical structure they can apply in any game. In the opening, I focus on teaching core principles developing pieces efficiently, controlling the center, and ensuring king safety so students understand why moves are made rather than memorizing sequences. As the game transitions into the middlegame, I help students identify plans based on the resulting structure. We study key themes such as piece coordination, pawn breaks, tactical patterns, and evaluating strengths and weaknesses in a position. Students learn how to create purposeful strategies instead of reacting randomly. Once the position simplifies, we shift to essential endgame techniques. I emphasize fundamentals like king activity, opposition, converting advantages, and maintaining calm under pressure. By linking all three phases together, students develop a complete, confident, and adaptable approach to every game they play.
