Math tutor who can help students of all school levels and skill levels achieve confidence in themselves to excel at math.

My name is Azlan and I completed my Bachelor's in Mathematics and Statistics at Concordia University in 2021. I offer online math tutoring for students from grade school level up to early University. I mainly focus on subjects such as calculus and Linear Algebra but am also available to teach other subjects such as algebra, probability and statistics as well as geometry. My preferred platform of teaching is on my tablet where I am able to share my screen to my students, allowing them to see various functions, graphs and equations that I can draw and write out for them to see clearly. I explain problems in real time and cater to different skill levels of students. I Like students to come to me with problems they are struggling with and work through them together. I was never the best at math growing up as a child, but I was fortunate enough to have the proper guidance from tutors and teachers to ensure I had the appropriate skills at math. My goal is to prove that Math is not as intimidating as it seems to be and make my students have the confidence in themselves to solve problems on their own!

I Like students to come to me with their own problems they struggle with, as well as showing up to sessions with my own problems that I find are suitable for their skill level. I like to start sessions off with relatively simpler problems so that students feel more comfortable in their own skills, before moving on to more complex problems that require more guidance from my end. I ensure students know the 'why' in addition to the 'how' of solving math problems so they do not feel like they are just blindly memorising equations to solve math problems. I mainly use a tablet where I am able to share my screen. I write out problems and solve them in real time with explanations, all while ensuring that the student is able to follow my instructions and properly understand the material being taught. I enjoy compiling problems that keep the student engaged.
