Singing lessons highlights
I created a curriculum with prompt fading and reinforcement schedules built in to be able to both push students gently to not accept past successive approximations and instead only accept updated, more correct responses as lessons progress. In my curriculum I include a wide range of music styles and different artistic projects to create an eclectic approach to learning the material, diversifying by each student’s needs and levels. I have carefully curated each song to match the scale we are learning in theory that week and to match the difficulty level the student is at to ensure the student is not both satiated and bored off the material. Students will be assigned homework each week to practice their skills and will present the work for the following session to build on the skills from the week prior. Each student will feel a sense of accomplishment each week as we tackle a new chunk of theory knowledge, a new song, and a new step in the journey.
