Monika - Get to know your vocal coach
Hi! I’m Monika Dong, a passionate vocal coach with over five years of teaching experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Music. I’ve guided singers of all ages and backgrounds to find their sound, refine their technique, and express their true musical personality. My expertise covers a wide spectrum of styles — from Blues, Folk, Rock, and Country to Classical, Pop, Jazz, Metal, and Movie music. I also specialize in Ear Training, Harmony, Improvisation, Music Theory, Vocal Technique, and Music Production, helping you connect every technical skill to real musical expression. Whether you’re just starting your vocal journey or aiming to take your artistry to the next level, I’ll design lessons that fit your goals, pace, and style. Together, we’ll strengthen your pitch, expand your range, and develop the confidence to perform with emotion and control.

Singing lessons highlights
My lessons go far beyond scales and breathing drills. Together, we’ll explore the emotion and soul behind every note — learning how to express your story through music. I specialize in a full spectrum of styles: Pop, R&B, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Blues, Musical Theatre, even Anime and Movie songs. Whether you dream of singing on stage, producing covers online, or simply gaining confidence in your own sound, I’ll guide you every step of the way. Each session is customized for you — your tone, your goals, your rhythm. We’ll work on vocal control, harmony, ear training, phrasing, and improvisation, blending professional vocal techniques with creativity and fun. My approach is modern and supportive: part technical training, part artistic discovery. Most importantly, I want you to feel the music. To hit that high note and realize — that’s really me. Join me for engaging lessons that will awaken your voice and your confidence. Let’s harmonize passion with technique, and turn every song into a story only you can tell. Your voice is already beautiful — I’ll help you make it unforgettable.

Singing concepts taught by Monika
The Tutor and Student worked on vocal warm-ups and explored the student's vocal range, focusing on low and high registers. They practiced singing a jazz-pop song, with a focus on specific vocal techniques and emotional delivery, and discussed strategies for overcoming technical delays in future sessions.

Vocal Range Expansion and Technique
The tutor and student focused on foundational singing techniques, including diaphragmatic breathing, vocal warm-ups like lip trills and humming, and finding the mixed voice. The student practiced applying these techniques to a song excerpt, "Remember Me," and received guidance on vocal trends within the melody. The tutor recommended a practice routine for breathing and vocal warm-ups.
