Colleen - Get to know your vocal coach
I am a vocal coach of four + years with specialization in musical theatre and pop music. With experience in both online and in person teaching, I love to get to know my students and how to make them the best performers possible. In our lessons we will be focusing on ear training, confidence in performing and stamina as singers. Another key focus will be vocal health and how to best support ourselves as performers. We will work songs top to bottom to get the full piece in shape to perform; musical theatre pieces will get the acting and emotional coaching as well, in order to ace those auditions. I have been fortunate enough to teach over 50 students in the past four years and hope to continue my practice and grow as a teacher alongside my students. Open communication, safety and fun are the three most important hinge in my lessons. Hope to see you in class!

Singing lessons highlights
My methodology is based around solfège (ear and theory training) as well as IVF. Focused on health and muscle training within our singing- using tongue, neck, and jaw muscles to support us instead of hindering our voices. Another one of my methods is building confidence through learning multiple styles and taking risks in performance choices- going 100% in a completely new direction can help us grow as artists. Another method is mental health focused; working with emotion and how to sing through trauma and difficult feelings. I also like to use the mock audition method; preparing students to pursue their applications for colleges, shows, and auditions in general. As well- I am still taking lessons from vocal coaches myself and continue to expand my knowledge and bring in new methods, experiences and ideas for growth! So excited to meet.
