Stan - Violin teacher
🎼🎼 20 years of music learning, advanced at violin, music performances, and musical knowledge of all genres. 🥇🥇 5 years of being concertmaster (& principal of orchestra) of 100+ musician ensembles, winning three 1st prizes in national competitions!! 🎻🎻 5 years of being private violin teacher, providing both online and offline violin classes for 6-20 age groups. 🎓🎓 Master’s degree (Distinction) in Music Education at UCL. My Teaching Style…… is about using engaging language to guide students! Unlike the traditional and rigid way of teaching classical music, I don’t like forcing students to repeat classical techniques with strict demands. Instead, my teaching always focuses on interest and enjoyment as the main goal! Whether you want to study classical music deeply, learn the violin as a hobby, or play your favorite songs (even pop music!), you can learn what you want in my class. In short, loving the violin is what helps you keep learning it. I believe you will feel the joy of learning the violin with me.

Violin lessons overview
I have over 5 years of violin teaching experience, and I have many simple tricks that can help you start learning the violin quickly. If you are a beginner, you may think holding the violin, holding the bow, bowing, and other basic skills are very difficult. But I have some special training methods that can help you fix these basic problems fast! In class, I like to use stories to explain music. I will not rigidly tell you exactly how to play every part. Instead, I guide you to build your own understanding of music and play with the feelings you understand. You can imagine that 100 people listening to the same piece may feel 100 different emotions. What I want to catch most is each student’s own unique understanding of a piece. We will use vivid stories, and use stories to explain different music. This helps you feel the emotion of a piece quickly and bring yourself into the world of music fast.

The lesson centered on violin position shifting practices and scale exercises to improve finger placement and technique. The Student worked on shifting between different fingerboard positions and practiced scales in the second position on each string.
