Hi, I am Finlay, a 21 year old music student based in London. I have been teaching/running choirs since I was 14 years old! I started off as a classical singer at Lichfield Cathedral and the National Youth Choir, leading on to me studying musical theatre at Birmingham Ormiston Academy from age 14-18 to now studying at the Insitute of Contemporary Music Performance! I have played in multiple rock bands/musical projects, my most recent had released a very succesful EP and toured across the UK playing venues such as The Guildhall in Portsmouth, the Nightrain in Bradford and many more along with radio and magazine interviews, talks with record deals and more! I have experience in all genres of singing including (but not limited to) jazz, classical, pop, musical theatre, country, rock and metal. I can teach all abilities and voice types.

I focus on what it takes to be a successful singer in the modern day. As someone with a lot of experience in the current music industry, I am always moving with the times whilst still sticking with the traditional techniques that are required to be a healthy vocalist. I teach a variety of warm ups, technicalities and stylistic qualities to shape a well rounded singer. However, the student will also have full control over what they learn, whether it is just a hobby or to become a pro, whether they want to focus on pitch or music theory and so on! The student will pick the songs they want to learn and I will assist them in how to make them sound exactly how they want it to, whether they want to focus on vibrato, distortion or projection. I also promote a healthy vocal lifestyle and how to preserve the voice. I also encourage students in adolescence to explore their voice safety through the vocal changes that happen too!
