Mina - Violin teacher
Hello! My name is Mina Kim, and I’m currently a senior at the Manhattan School of Music, majoring in violin performance. I began playing the violin at the age of four, and over the years, music has become not only my passion but also a central part of who I am. Throughout my musical journey, I’ve had the privilege of performing in various ensembles and solo settings, which has deepened my appreciation for both the technical and expressive sides of music. Beyond performing, I find great joy in sharing music with others—especially children. I love working with young students and helping them explore their creativity, develop confidence, and discover their own connection to music. As I continue my studies and prepare for my professional career, I hope to combine my performance experience with my love for teaching, inspiring the next generation of young musicians.

Violin lessons overview
In my teaching, I value building a genuine connection with each student. I believe that understanding a student’s character, learning style, and personality is essential to helping them grow both musically and personally. Every student is unique, and I strive to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where they can express themselves freely and learn at their own pace. I like to interact with students closely like asking questions, sharing ideas, and encouraging them to think creatively about the music they play. Rather than focusing only on technique, I aim to guide students toward developing their own musical voice and confidence. Through this approach, lessons become not just about mastering the violin, but also about nurturing curiosity, discipline, and joy in the process of learning.
