Sophie - Get to know your vocal coach
As an experienced Vocal Tutor with over 5 years teaching and 20+ years performing experience I bring a wealth of knowledge in my singing lessons. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Musical Theatre from The Guildford School of Acting. My techniques specialise in Musical Theatre, Acting Through Song, Legit, Mix, Belt, Accents & Audition Techniques. I provide personalised learning experiences catering to beginners, intermediates, kids and adults (even if it's just for fun) ensuring each student gains a solid foundation in singing. From mastering melodies to understanding music history. I'm outgoing and friendly offering a positive, relaxed teaching manner. We'll go through different warm up methods, and songs of your choice. Comfortably approaching acting through song, accents in songs, voice work, projection methods, characterisation and audition techniques. I will teach you West End methods for bringing the best out of your voice and future auditions. Even though these lessons are online, I will bring an in person feel to every one, by creating an interactive learning space. I ensure that as my student you will receive comprehensive training that will nurture your individual talents. My methodology focuses on producing healthy vocals with a supportive environment where each student can develop their vocal skills effectively, ultimately helping them build a strong foundation in singing.

The Student practiced specific song sections, using techniques like the "baa" sound and wall support to enhance lower range and muscle placement. A practice plan involving daily exercises and wall support was agreed upon to strengthen technique for an upcoming performance.
