Daniel - Know your guitar teacher

I’ve been teaching music for over four years, working with students of different ages, experience levels, and learning styles. My goal is to make lessons practical, understandable, and directly connected to what the student actually wants to play. I don’t believe every student should be taught the exact same way. Some students learn best by seeing a pattern on the fretboard, some need to hear it first, and others understand it better once the theory behind it is explained. In lessons, I break larger ideas into smaller steps and make sure the student can use each concept before moving on. We can work on chords, rhythm, scales, lead playing, fingerstyle, sight reading, ear training, music theory, songwriting, or specific songs. I also like showing students how different skills connect, so they are not simply memorizing shapes without understanding what they are doing. I try to keep lessons relaxed and conversational while still giving the student clear goals and something useful to practice between sessions. Beginners are welcome, and more experienced players can use lessons to fill gaps, improve technique, or better understand the instrument. Most importantly, I want students to leave each lesson feeling like they can do something on the guitar that made more sense than it did
