I'm Max Huggins. A Berklee College of Music educated guitarist, pianist, and composer. I have 10+ years of experience in playing, recording, and touring. I have experience playing guitar in pretty much every style but I come from a musical background of singer songwriters, jazz musicians, and wedding bands.I love teaching all skill levels and would want to help you get to your musical goals. My teaching style consists of materials that will help you get to your musical goal. If you want to learn how to write music, the journey will begin with figuring out how to play what we hear. Learning an instrument is much the same. I'll personally create a lesson plan for you that focuses on your personal goals. Sometimes that may be based in technique and craft, while other times rooted in purely fun. We all come from different musical backgrounds, but we all still want to play regardless. Much of my teaching philosophy stems from the idea that to understand how music works, you must first understand how it feels. To me, music and emotion are heavily tied together, and the musical choices we make provide a canvas for self expression. However to get there, it's first important to understand how music theory can be used to access these certain emotional choices. I look forward to the chance to work with you!
