Mohammed Muzammil - Know your tutor
I completed my Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and am currently pursuing my Master’s at IIT Delhi. Over the past three years, I’ve been teaching students and helping them get more comfortable with Mathematics. I teach subjects like Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry and Pre-Calculus, mainly for school and early college students. One of my most memorable experiences was working with a first-year student from the University of Toronto, helping him get through Calculus in his first semester. Seeing a student grow more confident is honestly the most rewarding part of teaching for me. Along with teaching concepts, I also help students with homework support, test preparation strategies, and useful exam-time shortcuts. Having personally gone through competitive exams and scoring an All India Rank 56 in the IIT JAM exam, I understand what students need to perform well under pressure. Helping students overcome their fear of Math and actually start enjoying the subject is something I genuinely care about.

Class overview
My teaching approach is simple: make Mathematics clear, logical, and easy to follow. I always begin with the basics, because once the foundation is solid, the advanced ideas start to make sense naturally. I take time to ensure students truly understand the concept instead of memorizing steps or formulas. I explain each topic in small, logical parts and relate it to things the student already knows. After the idea is clear, I work through a few examples and then let the student try problems on their own. This helps them build confidence and develop a problem-solving approach. I include short tricks, intuitive methods, and time-saving techniques whenever they make a topic easier or help in exams. I also give light, focused homework so students get regular practice without feeling overwhelmed. Students are encouraged to share their exam papers or practice tests, and we go through them together to identify mistakes, understand patterns, and improve their strategy.
