Chemistry class overview

My teaching methodology in Chemistry revolves around transforming the subject from a collection of chemical equations and definitions into a fascinating, logical, and relatable field of study that connects deeply with everyday life. I believe that Chemistry, being a bridge between Physics and Biology, is best understood through conceptual clarity, hands-on experiences, and visual engagement. At the beginning of every concept, I assess students’ prior understanding through short discussions or demonstrations and then build upon it systematically. I simplify complex theories by connecting them with daily examples—comparing chemical bonding to human relationships, equilibrium to everyday balance, and reaction rates to real-life processes like cooking or rusting. My teaching encompasses all major branches of Chemistry—Physical, Organic, Inorganic, and Applied—each taught through a blend of visualization, experimentation, and logical reasoning. In Physical Chemistry, I focus on stepwise derivations, numerical problem-solving, and graphical understanding to build strong analytical skills. Organic Chemistry is taught through mechanism-based visualization using molecular models and reaction flowcharts, helping students trace reaction pathways logically rather than memorize them. Ultimately, my goal as a Chemistry educator is to ignite curiosity, nurture critical thinking, and inspire students to see Chemistry not as a subject to study but as a way to explore, question, and understand the world around them.
