Hi! I’m Sofía Gómez, a singer and vocal coach with a background in Classical (Lyric) Singing. Throughout my career, I have explored both academic and popular repertoire, which has allowed me to develop a comprehensive and versatile approach to vocal teaching. For over a year, I’ve been offering personalized singing lessons to students of all levels, guiding them through the process of discovering and strengthening their voices. I firmly believe that singing is a physical, emotional, and expressive act. That’s why, in my classes, we focus not only on vocal technique but also on the connection between body, breath, and emotion. I encourage each student to understand that the entire body is the instrument—from breathing and posture to the emotional intention behind every phrase. In each lesson, I aim to create a conscious experience where we learn to listen to and understand what the voice truly needs in order to flow naturally. I also believe that singing goes far beyond hitting the right notes or mastering exercises. Expression and communication are the real goals. For that reason, I use songs that each student genuinely enjoys, applying vocal technique to meaningful repertoire and connecting technical work with genuine emotion. My classes are designed to enhance vocal performance, build confidence, and help each person find their own unique sound identity. Whether you’re just beginning or looking to refine your technique, my goal is to help you discover the expressive power of your voice and enjoy the process of singing with freedom and emotion. Let's unlock your true singing potential together!

Singing lessons highlights
My teaching methodology focuses on developing a conscious and expressive connection between body, voice, and emotion. Each class begins with stretching movements to prepare the body for singing and to promote healthy posture and breathing. We then move on to vocal warm-up exercises, where we work on technique—such as breath control, resonance, and vocal placement—through progressive and personalized exercises. During the second part of the lesson, we apply these techniques directly to a song of the student’s choice, exploring interpretation, phrasing, and emotional expression while refining technical aspects in context. This approach allows students to internalize technique in a meaningful and enjoyable way. The lessons are flexible and adaptive, tailored to the student’s abilities, goals, and musical preferences. I combine musicality, patience, and confidence-building to create a motivating and supportive environment where students can grow at their own pace and develop both technical mastery and authentic expression.
