ILA Your chemistry tutor
Hello! My name is Ila, and I am a passionate chemistry educator and researcher with over a decade of experience in both teaching and research. I hold a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India, where my work focused on excited-state photophysics and spectroscopy. I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Before my research career, I spent two years teaching chemistry at the undergraduate level in India, where I developed a strong foundation in explaining complex concepts in a clear and engaging way. My tutoring style emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and practical applications, helping students not only prepare for exams but also appreciate the subject’s real-world importance. I have expertise across a wide range of chemistry topics, including: Physical Chemistry (thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, spectroscopy) Organic Chemistry (reaction mechanisms, synthesis, functional group transformations) Inorganic Chemistry (coordination chemistry, periodic trends, bonding) Analytical Techniques (Spectroscopy such as UV-Vis, fluorescence, FTIR, NMR) Whether you’re preparing for school exams, university courses, or just want to strengthen your fundamentals, I can adapt lessons to your pace and needs. My goal is to make chemistry enjoyable, less intimidating, and deeply rewarding.

Chemistry class overview
Hi, I’m Ila, a chemistry tutor and researcher with a PhD in Physical Chemistry from IIT Guwahati, India. I also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences. With over 10 years of experience in teaching and research, I specialize in making complex concepts simple and engaging. I tutor physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry, as well as spectroscopy and analytical techniques. My goal is to help students build strong fundamentals, develop problem-solving skills, and enjoy learning chemistry at their own pace. Before moving into research, I taught chemistry at the every level for 10+ years, which gave me hands-on experience in explaining challenging topics clearly. Over time, I’ve guided students preparing for school exams, university courses, and advanced studies. My aim is not only to help learners succeed academically but also to show them the real-world applications that make chemistry fascinating.
