Violin lessons overview
I teach primarily using the Suzuki Method, which emphasizes learning by ear, repetition, and nurturing a love of music from an early age. I combine this with a student-focused approach, taking time at the start of each lesson to understand how each student learns best and what makes music fun for them. I love incorporating songs the student wants to learn, helping lessons feel engaging and personal, while also guiding them toward the style of violin that inspires them most, whether classical, fiddle, or contemporary. My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals—posture, technique, rhythm, and scales—while encouraging expressive playing through vibrato, intonation, and repertoire. I aim to create a supportive, motivating, and enjoyable environment, helping students grow in skill, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.
