Hi! My name is Adam. I come from a family of teachers, and I've been teaching Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computing, Business, and Economics to iGCSE and A-Level/IB students for several years now. On average, my students are able to boost their grades by at least one or two levels! I'm a native English speaker from the UK and have been in Hong Kong for over 20 years. By way of my own academic background, I got five straight As (before there were any A*s) at A-Level in the UK, studied an undergraduate Master's degree at Oxford University in Engineering and Computing Science, did an MBA in Japan, and afterwards worked in finance in Asia (Hong Kong and Tokyo), both on the sell-side (Lehman Brothers, Mizuho Securities, Nomura) and buy-side (various boutique asset management companies). My daughter is currently in Year 12 at a school in Hong Kong.

I genuinely believe that with the right tutor, everyone can learn how to study to achieve your goals and realize your full potential. Specifically, my approach is to identify those areas you currently need most help with in a given subject, and then provide bespoke assistance to help you first understand, then apply, and finally remember confidently and effectively those areas for your examinations and future study. It just means the teacher hasn't been able to explain it to you in a way that you can understand yet. And there are no stupid questions! Before we all understand something, we first don't understand it - everyone starts from understanding nothing initially!
