👨🏻‍🏫 I'm a Tutor and Speech Coach (Accent Reduction/Modification), a certified ESL Pronunciation Teacher and an Accent Specialist teaching General American English. I’m a native speaker of English from the United States of America. 🎯 My mission is to help non-native English speakers internalize and master the pronunciation of General American English in order to enhance their communication with native speakers of North America, in three ways: Intelligibility, Accent, and Fluency. ⭐ In doing so, I seek to improve my clients' quality of life while providing a dignified life for my family, all for the glory of God. 🌎 My vision is to one day be the world's leading ESL Speech Coach for native Spanish speakers who communicate with native English speakers of North America, breaking down language barriers to help them step into the opportunities they are called to pursue. 👂🏻 During our first lesson, I'll get to know about you, your goals, and needs. I'll take note of the top 3-5 sounds that need improvement in your spontaneous speech. Then we will read a short monologue to see which sounds are problematic when reading. To finalize it, we'll use AI to create a long term plan based on fine tuning. 👅 With that, we'll begin by setting your mouth's posture for English. This sets the foundation for pronunciation and fluency development without any plateaus. Most of all you'll slowly gain a voice quality that is closer to an American Accent. 🧠 I'll then guide you (through the Articulatory Method) to discover each of those English sounds as NEW—not from your native language. 🎙️ We'll keep learning and practicing until all of your sounds satisfactory to my ear and are rated at a high level in an AI analyzer. Daily homework practice with automatic feedback will build your awareness, muscle fibers, and nervous system. I will give you personal feedback on your homework recordings as well. 💬 Each lesson ends with a short conversation, an opportunity for quick, immediate feedback on major pronunciation errors. ➕ We'll incorporate fluency topics using the book "Clear Speech" by Judy Gilbert, such as how to convey more meaning, emotion, and structure by adjusting rhythm, stress, and intonation, and how to connect the sounds to speak more naturally.
