About your music teacher
Father, Husband, Follower of Jesus. Singer, songwriter, producer... and vocal coach. I was born in Italy, now living in Argentina. Singing has always been my life, and I love to share my experience with everyone. I guide singers in technique, breathing, diction, and performance, enforcing the power of communication through the voice. I prepare artists for live shows and recording sessions, also helping with pronunciation in English, Spanish, Italian... and Neapolitan. I work with children too, teaching them basic music and singing skills. Let me help you develop your talent to its full potential. In over 10 years of indie production I've mastered the skill of vocal treatment and post-production, so I want to guide you through the creation of your own content from home, from start to finish: recording, tuning, mixing of your vocals, to finally distributing your music. Ready to start when you are. God bless you.

Music lessons at a glance
Show me how you sing, I'll tell you who you are! My teaching methodology is based on the idea that the voice is not only sound but also a mirror of your personality. The way a person sings shows traits of character, while vocal technique allows emotions to be expressed and understood. I train my students to discover their vocal identity by mastering breathing, phonation, tone, diction, and resonance with control and clarity. Vibrato, crescendo, and other expression device, along with basic music elements like scales and arpeggios: are the basic tools through which you can build your stylistic vocabulary. Each exercise is aimed to build vocal muscle memory so that the singer can go on stage confident, focusing only on the emotional delivery. Don't be fooled by the promise of immediate results, but your voice is a gift to discover at your own pace.

Music concept taught by Angelo
The following is a summary of a lesson. Iossa and Susy B collaborated on vocal techniques, with a primary focus on breath support through the "apojo" method and resonance exercises to refine vocal control and tone. Susy B received a breathing routine to practice, which includes controlled inhales, exhales, and breath holds. Additionally, Iossa will provide her with MP3 examples to support her ongoing practice.

Active Inhalation vs. Passive Exhalation
Apojo (Breath Support)
Iossa tutored a student from Bakersfield College on vocal techniques, focusing on breath control, diaphragmatic control, and expressive performance for a musical audition. The learner practiced singing "We're Off to See the Wizard," receiving feedback on tone, projection, and body language. They discussed scheduling the next lesson based on the audition callback date.

Character Interpretation for Auditions
During her lesson, Iossa guided Tanya through various breathing exercises and breath control techniques. This included the concept of 'apojo,' timed breathing, and vocal cord attack. Tanya diligently practiced managing her breath and airflow while singing vowel sounds and arpeggios. As a follow-up, Iossa tasked her with daily practice of the breathing exercises using a provided beat track, and to concentrate on the 'wonderful wizard of us' phrase from the song to improve pitch accuracy.

Vocal Attack
Diaphragm & Breathing
Iossa guided Tanya through vocal warm-up exercises, including 'M,' 'NG,' lip trills, and vowel sounds, to enhance her vocal placement and breath control. Tanya then applied these techniques while practicing the song 'We're Off to See the Wizard.' For the next lesson, Iossa assigned Tanya to continue practicing the exercises and to incorporate a whispering technique to improve her pronunciation.

Whisper Technique for Enunciation
During their vocal lesson, Angelo and Susy focused on vocal warm-up techniques, including breath control, vocal fold stretching, and finding a comfortable vocal range. They also practiced semi-occluded vocal tract exercises and intervals to enhance pitch stability and breath control. Angelo assigned practice exercises and introduced 'appoggio' for discussion in their next lesson.
