Franzelle Hope - Get to know your vocal coach
Hi! I’m a 5th-year Music Education student at the Conservatory of Music, majoring in Piano with a minor in Voice. I’ve been teaching music since 8th grade and am currently completing my OJT. While piano is my main instrument, I have a strong passion for teaching voice—especially in Broadway, classical, folk, and pop styles. I teach kids, teens, and adults, from beginners to intermediate vocalists. I’m an active choir member in both school and church, have conducted various choirs, and joined several choral and vocal competitions. I focus on healthy vocal technique, confidence, and expressive performance. My lessons are fun, personalized, and goal-oriented. Whether you're exploring your voice for the first time or preparing for the stage, I’d love to help you grow, shine, and enjoy the exciting journey through music and self-expression.

During a vocal lesson, singing techniques and vocal warm-ups were reviewed. The student, who attends Arizona State University in Tempe, then applied these techniques to "Part of Your World" and began learning "Reflection" from Mulan, focusing on melody and note reading. For the next lesson, they were assigned to listen to "Reflection" and research the story of Mulan.

Chloe received a vocal lesson from Franzelle, where they focused on vocal techniques, intonation, and music theory. The instruction included practical application through solfège exercises and Kodály hand signs. Chloe dedicated time to practicing scales and sight-reading. For her homework, Chloe needs to print pages 7-10 of the Danhouser solfège book, practice the exercises, memorize the Kodály hand signs, and prepare a pop song for their next lesson.
