Singing lessons highlights

My teaching methodology is based on making music both understandable and enjoyable. I like to help students to know that learning is a beautiful process. I break down complex concepts into simple, practical exercises that connect directly to the student’s goals. For beginners, I focus on breathing, posture, and ear training to build a strong foundation. I use examples, visual aids, and vocal exercises to explain rhythm, melody, and harmony in a clear way. Each lesson includes practice and immediate feedback, so progress feels tangible. I also encourage creativity through improvisation and repertoire chosen together, ensuring students stay motivated. Above all, I create a supportive and interactive environment where students feel comfortable to explore and grow at their own pace, while developing confidence in their own unique voice and artistic expression.

Tefi worked with Ericka on a range of vocal techniques, including breath control, sirens, vocal fry, lip trills, and vibrato exercises. Ericka dedicated time to practicing runs and focused on the Ariana Grande song "Better Off," specifically honing her interpretation and vocal transitions. For her upcoming lesson, Ericka was assigned to practice the chorus and pre-chorus of the song, along with vibrato exercises and sirens, with an emphasis on achieving a slow, seamless transition between her chest and head voice.

Tefi and Esther delved into vocal techniques during their recent lesson, specifically working on breathing exercises, vibrato, and vocal fry, applying these to the songs "Wildflower" and "Bored." Esther further refined her singing by practicing scales and phrasing, with a strong emphasis on breath control and emotional delivery. As homework, Esther will record herself performing "Bored" and continue her breathing exercises, while Tefi will analyze the more challenging sections of "Bored" in preparation for their next lesson.
