Mohammed - Know your tutor
My name is Mohammed El Haouat, an international educator with more than seven years of experience teaching Mathematics, Physics, and English to middle and high school students across North America, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. I specialize in STEM subjects, from Algebra to Calculus and beyond, and I strive to make lessons interactive, personalized, and accessible to learners of all levels. My teaching style blends clear explanations, real-world problem-solving, and digital tools that encourage active participation and curiosity. I believe every student learns differently, so I design lessons that adapt to individual strengths and goals, helping them gain both knowledge and confidence. Outside of teaching, I enjoy skateboarding, traveling, photography, and extreme sports—passions that keep me creative, motivated, and able to bring fresh perspectives into my classroom.
Mohammed graduated from National school of applied sciences of Fez

Class overview
My teaching methodology is built on the belief that every student learns in a unique way, and my role as a teacher is to guide them through discovery rather than simply deliver information. I focus on making mathematics engaging and approachable by breaking down complex concepts into simple steps and connecting them to real-life applications. I use interactive tools, problem-solving activities, and open discussions to keep students actively involved in the learning process. I also design personalized lesson plans that adapt to different learning styles and goals, ensuring measurable progress and lasting understanding. Collaboration and communication are central to my approach—I encourage questions, critical thinking, and creative exploration. By combining structure with flexibility, I aim to build not only academic skills but also confidence and curiosity that extend beyond the classroom.

Mathematics concepts taught by Mohammed
The Student and Tutor reviewed linear equations, parallelograms, and perpendicular bisectors. They practiced finding equations of lines, proving quadrilaterals are parallelograms, and determining the perimeter of parallelograms. The Student has a math exam tomorrow and was encouraged to review the material and formulas covered in the session.
Slope-Intercept Equation
Point-Slope Equation
Standard Equation of a Line
Parallel Lines and Slopes
Perpendicular Lines and Slopes
Parallelograms and Parallelism
Pythagorean Theorem
The Student and Tutor reviewed rates, ratios, fractions (multiplication and division), and percentages. The Student practiced solving problems involving these concepts and worked through examples from their school website. The session prepared the Student for an upcoming exam on these topics.
Percentages
Calculating Fractions of a Number
Fraction Multiplication
Fraction Division
Equivalent Ratios
Understanding Rates and Ratios
Multiples
Factors
Factor Rainbow
Factor Order
The Student and Tutor reviewed the rules of exponents, including multiplication, division, and negative exponents. The Student practiced simplifying algebraic expressions with exponents. The Tutor provided explanations and worked through examples to reinforce the concepts.
Negative Exponents
Simplifying Exponential Expressions
Applying Exponent Rules to Simplify Fractions
The student and tutor worked on coordinate geometry, including graphing linear equations, finding equations from graphs, and calculating distances and midpoints. The student practiced identifying slopes, intercepts, and applying the distance and midpoint formulas. The tutor suggested the student provide course details for future sessions.
X and Y Intercepts
Slope-Intercept Form
Finding Equation From A Line
Distance Formula
Midpoint Formula
Proving Right Triangles
Graphing Linear Equations by Finding Two Points
The Student and Tutor reviewed the Arithmetic Mean-Geometric Mean (AM-GM) inequality and proof by induction, including a specific (though ultimately unsuccessful) attempt to understand a complex proof from class notes. The session also covered strategies for solving logarithmic equations. The Tutor is to provide a solution with audio explanation for a logarithmic equation for the Student to review.
