I am Althea Cristobal, a singer with over 10 years of experience in singing with and teaching young singers. My years of being in a world-acclaimed, award-winning children's choir taught me all I need to know about the basics and the techniques every singer must possess. My passion lies in making dreams come true by creating a foundation in singing for all ages. I specialize in choral singing, but I can also be relied on with musical theater singing and even music theory. My rich background ensures that each student is entrusted to very capable hands. I make sure every student I have are provided with tools they need to succeed in the music industry. Each student is unique, so I make sure I provide them with lessons personally catered to them, their range, and their current level. My teaching style starts with the basics and slowly progresses to more intermediate levels until we reach the desired level of the student. I teach every student the solfeggio and how to sight-read music sheets. Figuring out the student's range is also a part of my lessons and how to expand it. If they wish to go above and beyond their range, I will help them reach this goal while simultaneously perfecting their pitch and techniques in their desired music genre. Students should not be afraid to ask for any questions or clarifications in the middle of a session. I believe in a more dynamic atmosphere when teaching. I help students of all ages and levels develop their singing skills and reach their full potential so that they can be confident in every performance; whether it be casual or a professional performance. I mainly use the keyboard to guide the students in every lesson.
