I’ve been teaching singing for over 4 years, and I love helping people discover what their voice can really do. In our lessons, we’ll work on breathing, pitch, ear training, and fun body exercises to get your core engaged and your voice feeling strong. Every class is personalized for you—whether you’re into pop, jazz, or anything in between, we’ll focus on the music you love while building solid technique. My goal is to make learning feel supportive, inspiring, and confidence-boosting, so you can sing with freedom and express yourself fully. I create a friendly, encouraging space where mistakes are part of learning, and progress is celebrated. My background in studying music has given me a deep understanding of the processes involved in singing, and how small details can make a big difference in your voice. I believe in making learning practical and enjoyable, breaking down technique into clear steps so you can see real progress.

Andrea and Jack worked on vocal techniques, including posture, breathing exercises, and onset control, using the song "You're Going to Go Far" as a practice piece. Jack practiced singing with a backing track while focusing on body awareness. Andrea assigned homework: to practice singing the song with the backing track while looking in a mirror and to find a wine cork and a plastic straw for the next session.

During a vocal lesson, a student from Dulles High School worked on vocal technique, specifically exploring their range and reducing tension while singing. They practiced exercises to strengthen their head voice and improve transitions between vocal registers, applying these skills to the song "You're Going to Go Far" by Noah Kahan. For homework, the learner was asked to send a video of themselves singing the chorus and to consider other songs for upcoming lessons.
