Singing lessons highlights
My teaching style embodies expressiveness, harmony and a strong focus on breathing techniques, rhythm and timing, and pitch accuracy to enhance musicality. I consider very valuable to sing in different languages and diverse music genres, I encourage students to do so, because I think it provides a broader understanding of the great power of music, which is connect and communicate with others even if we don't speak the same language. I leverage various tech tools like Google Meet, Zoom and Music apps to conduct interactive online learning sessions. I also use the piano as the main accompanying instrument during the vocal warm-up. I use a specific structure that I designed myself to conduct the lessons, I give all the info with the steps to follow before singing, which can help establish a routine when practising on your own. My personalised tutoring approach focuses on helping students grasp vocal nuances, develop confidence, and master performance skills, ensuring steady progress and musical growth in a supportive and engaging environment.

Singing concept taught by Carolina
Nina tutored a student from Deer Valley High School on vocal techniques, including warm-up exercises, diaphragm control using legato and staccato, and differentiating between vibrato and melisma. The learner practiced these techniques and began analyzing a song to identify vibrato and melisma sections. For homework, they will complete the song analysis, highlighting vibrato and melisma occurrences.

During their vocal lesson, Nina and Lucy focused on enhancing their singing abilities through vocal exercises, breath control, and ear training. They specifically tackled staccato consonant exercises and replicated melodic patterns from a song. Lucy then dedicated time to singing a piece, carefully marking breath points, and received constructive feedback on her vocal technique. As homework, Lucy will identify and mark vibrato and ornaments directly in the song's lyrics.

Nina guided a student, who resides in Oleander/Sunset, through vocal exercises, breath control, and resonance techniques. The learner diligently practiced legato and staccato exercises, resonator placement, and scales, all aimed at improving vocal agility and breath support. As an assignment, they were tasked with marking breath points in song lyrics to develop conscious breath control.

Conscious Breath Marking
Nina guided Lucy through a vocal lesson, concentrating on exercises for breath control and resonator awareness. The learner actively practiced 'F' and 'V' sounds and identified resonator locations for different notes. They also began working on a song, with a focus on breath control and articulation. As homework, Lucy was assigned to mark breathing points and potential ornament locations in the song lyrics.
