Piano Lessons with Theory Integration & Ear Training | Silliman University with holistic approach

Hello! I am Charity Anne Montebon from the Philippines. I am a public school teacher teaching elementary level but I have also taught and trained kids in high school level as well. I also have trained kids and adults in music and have been teaching music and piano for over 12 years now. I have students who kept coming back because of the passion and learning that we share. My expertise include Ear training, music theory and enhancement, and sight reading as well. I make sure at the end of the lesson, my student will be able to learn and play atleast the most basic song. I believe in different approaches to teaching and learning understanding that each students are unique. I am hoping that we can share our passion in music and I hope we can build together a better understanding in learning music. Looking forward to meeting you and have fun learning with you!

I have been a teacher for over 12 years now and in the span of 12 years, I have had students who were able to showcase their talents outside school and out of their comfort zone. I show empathy to my students while having our class because I believe that learning should not be based on books alone but also in character building. I engage my students making sure that they participate in every lesson because it is also an indicator to me that my students are learning and getting the lesson. My curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of the learners. I use books related to topics that are easily understood by my students so that my students will get the lesson easily. I aim to keep the learning process fun and effective for every students so that they can have a better understanding of our lesson. I also aim to have students who are passionate to learn music so that they can apply it in their everyday lives.
