I'm a professional contemporary voice teacher, vocalist and vocologist from NYC! I have my Masters in Voice Pedagogy from Shenandoah Conservatory, and I've been teaching for more than 5 years now. I specialize in musical theatre, jazz & blues, soul, R&B, pop/rock & more! From healthy vocal technique, to audition/concert prep, to stylistic/artistic expression & freedom, I cater to students of all levels and skillsets, and tailor each lesson to their individual needs. With the mission of uplifting and inspiring young artists & future musicians, I view each individual lesson as an opportunity to making learning a place of joy, innovation and creative freedom. My personal teaching philosophy has centered around making the often intimidating parts of singing and voice science as approachable as possible. I emphasize the importance of challenging the mind, and learning in an open, safe environment with an informed pedagogy background to back it up. Everyone, no matter their sexual/gender identity, race, physical ability, shape or size should have access to a quality, enriching education with their individual goals at the forefront rather than checking off a box to fit an enforced “type”. Teaching with a joyful mindset, an informed perspective, and the ability for challenging yet achievable goals for each individual student is imperative to inspiring confidence and creative expression. That is the future of voice training I want for the next generation of artists, and I believe it all starts in the studio. The more we seek to understand, the more we can do to progress.
