I am an experienced guitar player, composer, and performer, with over a decade of experience on the instrument. I have performed with groups from a range of musical styles: punk and post rock, to symphonic wind ensembles, latin bands, big bands, and jazz ensembles. I have taught guitar, saxophone, and bass for over 2 years and am suited to all ages and levels of experience--I believe everyone has a musical voice that deserves nurturing and guidance. I have studied jazz and improvisation at Melbourne University and have a strong background in various avenues of technique, ear training, soloing, composing, and creative expression. Part of my unique abilities are in the area of musical technologies: I have built numerous guitars and pedals, and modified even more of both. I strive to shape lessons to the interests of my students, and believe that learning happens best when it is engaging and fun
