I Erica Torgerson, am a multi-instrumentalist from San Diego, CA with over a decade of experience teaching piano. My love for music began with piano lessons as a child and expanded to the drums, guitar, bass, uke, and various percussion instruments. I am passionate about empowering others, spreading joy, and healing through music education. My teaching style is relaxed and tailored to meet students' individualized learning needs. My lessons are fun, engaging, and a valuable learning experience. I want my students to develop a life long passion for music. I specialize in beginner and intermediate lessons and especially love teaching pop and rock song. I'm passionate about showing students how to apply knowledge from lessons in practical performance and jam situations. I love making songs with my students and spreading the joy that music brings.

I design each piano lesson to meet individual needs—whether you're just starting out, returning to music, or learning with a health condition or unique learning style. I specialize in making piano lessons accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for students of all backgrounds and abilities. Whether you're a visual learner, someone who thrives on hands-on practice, an auditory learner, or some combination of those—I tailor each lesson to fit your unique needs. My goal is to create a supportive, flexible learning environment where every student can build confidence and make real progress at their own pace. I make lessons understandable by getting to know my students on a personal level and adapting curriculum to meet their preferred learning methods. Music is personal.
