I’m Jeffrey Canlas, a passionate vocal tutor and educator with over a decade of experience helping aspiring singers find their voice and perform with soul. With a Master’s in English Education and a deep love for music, I blend technique, expression, and confidence-building in every session. My approach is grounded in storytelling, shaped by years of teaching, voice acting, and music analysis. For me, it’s not just about hitting the right notes; it’s about owning your sound, showing up with heart, and becoming an artist who truly connects. As an artist myself, I'd like to share authenticity, a knack for connection, and precision in vocal projection, be it at the beginning of your musical journey as a singer or songwriter, even. Singing lessons highlights
My teaching style blends structure, intuition, and heart. I don’t just train voices—I guide artists. Every session is a space where technique meets emotion, and where growth is both encouraged and celebrated. I break things down clearly, but I also push you to dig deeper—to feel, connect, and perform with truth. I adapt to your pace, honor your uniqueness, and help you turn every note into a moment of meaning. I teach with empathy, energy, and high standards because your voice deserves to be heard, not just accurately, but powerfully and authentically. Whether you’re just starting or already performing, I create a safe, creative space where your vocal potential is refined, your confidence is rebuilt, and your artistic identity is embraced. We work hard, but we also enjoy the process, because the journey of finding your voice should feel as fulfilling as the destination.

Jeffrey and Peter engaged in a discussion focused on refining Peter's musical performances, specifically exploring techniques to deepen emotional connection and ensure repeatability. During their time together, Peter applied psychological preparation and authenticity while performing "Boot Hill," after which they meticulously analyzed the rendition, evaluating its musicality, tonality, and overall impact. For their upcoming lesson, Peter was tasked with preparing a new song, with the goal of integrating the recently discussed performance techniques and recording his delivery.
