Singing lessons highlights

My coaching is personalised and intuitive and I genuinely believe that everyone is unique with their singing ability as their own finger print. Rather than replicating someone else, I encourage my students to discover and understand their own singing voice, to then make any song unique to them. Having coached a number of students throughout the years, I strive to make learning enjoyable in the moment and beyond, guiding learners to discover and enhance their singing abilities with passion and skill. This process unfolds with weekly sessions and practice outside of the sessions based on the advice and guidance provided during the sessions. We will commence each session with some exercises and work with my feedback at the end of every session. As long as you are committed to learning and growing, I am here to support you through it!

The following is a summary of a lesson. Mi Ka guided an individual from El Paso through vocal exercises, including the tongue-on-palate hum and G scale practice with "ha," "who," and "he" sounds. The singer worked on breath control, vocal cord flexibility, and expanding their vocal range. Mi Ka assigned them to practice the lesson's routine two to three times a week, focusing on lower notes and the tongue-on-palate hum, and to continue practicing their song.

Mi Ka guided John through a vocal lesson, beginning with warm-ups that included neck and shoulder exercises, and introducing a new tongue placement technique to enhance vocal muscle engagement. John then dedicated time to practicing the song "Shallow," focusing on incorporating dynamics to deepen its emotional delivery and memorizing the lyrics through repetition. For his next lesson, John was instructed to listen to the song on repeat and concentrate on perfecting the first part.

Mi Ka introduced Atarah to the BBS vocal preparation routine, which encompassed body warm-ups, breathing exercises, and vocal techniques such as lip trills and humming. During their lesson, they collaborated on discovering Atarah's natural vocal scale and practiced singing scales with various vowel sounds. For her continued development, Atarah was tasked with practicing the BBS routine daily, with a particular focus on breath control and tuning her vocal cords to her natural scale.
