Piano lessons at a glance
My piano teaching method begins with understanding each student’s individual needs, goals, and learning style. During the first few lessons, I assess their musical background, interests, and preferred pace of learning. This allows me to create a personalized lesson plan that aligns with their strengths while addressing areas for improvement. Whether students are beginners or more advanced, this tailored approach ensures that they stay engaged and make steady progress. I use a balanced combination of technique, theory, and creativity in every lesson. Fundamental skills such as finger strength, hand coordination, and posture are taught alongside music reading, rhythm training, and ear development. I also incorporate activities like improvisation, composition, and duet playing to foster musical expression and creativity. For young learners, I use games and visual aids to reinforce concepts in a fun and memorable way. Technology, such as learning apps and digital keyboards, is also used to enhance practice and engagement. Consistency and encouragement are central to my teaching philosophy. I set achievable goals for each student and regularly track their progress. Feedback is always constructive, aiming to build confidence and independence. I also provide opportunities for students to perform and share their music, whether through recitals, recordings, or informal family performances. Ultimately, my goal is to develop not just skilled pianists, but confident, lifelong lovers of music.
