Hunter - Know your guitar teacher
I am Hunter Friese and I am a professional guitarist and teacher based in Los Angeles. I have been playing guitar since I was 12 years old and studied music at Interlochen Arts Academy, and then went on to get a bachelor's degree in guitar performance from Los Angeles College of Music. I have been performing music in many different genres and styles for years now, and I also have 3+ years of teaching experience. I specialize in personalized acoustic/electric guitar and bass lessons tailored to your needs. I incorporate a balance between building a fundamental base of technique and music theory, but also keeping the student engaged with learning material that they are interested in. I make sure that the student is proficient in all the skills that are required to be a great musician and ensure a comprehensive learning experience. I am super excited to start our journey to guitar mastery!

Guitar lessons quick guide
I specialize in teaching electric/acoustic guitar and bass with many different musical genres and styles including rock, pop, funk, folk, country, jazz, R&B, and classical. My personalized teaching/tutoring approach focuses on a balance between building a fundamental base and keeping the student engaged and interested in the instrument and material. I like to use part of the lesson to build up different techniques including, chord progressions, chord voicings, scales/modes, sight reading, music theory, ear training, and any other techniques that I believe the student would benefit from learning. I want to focus on developing skills that the student is interested in, as well as skills that I believe are crucial for a musician to have. I want to provide support and interactive learning to help the students, as best as I possibly can, to thrive and excel in their musical journey.
