Hey my name is Oscar, I've been playing guitar for over 12 years now and it's become the biggest part of my life. I have a high distinction in my grade 8 and currently study Songwriting and Production at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts with guitar as my main instrument. I was lucky enough to grow up with guitar lessons and was even more lucky to have a great teacher and I know what it takes to have a hobby become a huge passion. I've played in many bands, written in many genres and have a big repertoire of songs I have learnt over the years so I am confident in my ability to teach any skill level to any age in any genre. In our lessons, I want to help you become exactly the musician you desire to be and I will push you to challenge yourself but will teach you patience and care in your playing. Greatness requires dedication, patience and passion so I won't just teach you guitar I will teach you the path you need to follow to be great.

My approach to teaching is very open to an extent. I cater the lessons to what you want to be doing and what steps I believe you need to take to get to where you want to be. I'm open to teaching anything but won't let you get distracted or take the easy way out. I specialise in electric guitar but I am very familiar with acoustic and can also teach bass. I can work with DAW's and recording software which means I am able to record backing tracks that I can send to you specifically made for what you're working on. I teach in a progressive structure and will challenge you every lesson but by the end of it, you will have learnt something new and accomplished a new level of playing. I personally view expression and emotion as more important than technical skill but I teach both of these as it's important to know both before you decide what you want to prioritise. I will give you tasks to complete in-between lessons but you won't be overloaded with things to do.
