Her voice is known for its warm tone, wide range, and R&B agility, while her baritone sax playing delivers bold, bluesy energy. A Loyola University music graduate, Erika has performed with acclaimed acts including The Love Muscles, her own band Erika Torres & Co., and at international events like the Mid Europe Summer Music Festival in Austria. She was mentored by Grammy-winning saxophonist Jason Mingledorff and Sarah Vaughan Vocal Competition winner Quiana Lynell, whose guidance helped shape Erika’s artistry and teaching philosophy. As a passionate teacher, Erika leads music and vocal workshops for students of all ages, both privately and in group settings, with a focus on confidence, technique, and joy.
