Singing lessons highlights
My teaching style is very patient, yet motivating. I aim to inspire my students to find their voice, by discovering what techniques work for them. I employ a flexible working style to adapt to individual needs, focusing on pitch perfection, building confidence and perfecting tone. By teaching you the basics of music theory and sheet music, you will end up having the skills to read classical notation, which will help you unendingly as you go through your vocal journey. I will also give you tools so you will be to be able to practise between our lessons (if you have the time) so you are able to see much more progress in finding your voice and honing your sound. My strength lies in creating engaging and confidence-boosting lessons that enhance vocal skills across various singing genres. From Musical Theatre to Jazz to Pop, let me know you are wanting to study and lets get started!

Singing concepts taught by Emily
The Student and Tutor engaged in a singing lesson, starting with vocal warm-ups. They completed a full performance of "I See the Light" and then began working on a new song, "Lover Girl." Key focus areas included vowel elongation, achieving an open vocal sound, and refining consonant/vowel emphasis for stylistic delivery. The next session is planned for Wednesday, continuing with "Lover Girl" and exploring more songs by the same artist.

Melodic Precision through Slowed Practice
The Student and Tutor engaged in a singing lesson, starting with vocal warm-ups using sirens and specific exercises like "Bella Senora" and "E A R O." They then practiced the song "I See the Light," focusing on an octave-higher rendition of Flynn's verse and refining vocal techniques like jaw placement. For future sessions, the Student suggested working on "Lover Girl" by LE SSERAFIM.

Preparing for Solo Performance Dynamics Without Backing Tracks
The Student and Tutor engaged in a Singing session, focusing on advanced vocal warm-ups including box breathing, diaphragm exercises, and new vocal sirens. They intensively practiced developing a mix voice with nasal resonance and vowel modification techniques for belting. These skills were then applied to challenging sections of the song "Burn" from Hamilton. For upcoming sessions, they plan to consolidate "Burn" and begin working on "Defying Gravity."

The Tutor and first Student focused on developing vocal agility, diaphragm engagement, and releasing jaw tension through new exercises and application to a song. They specifically addressed tension in high, powerful sections of the song by experimenting with mixed voice, back engagement, and jaw relaxation techniques. The second Student worked on improving breath control with box breathing, differentiating between chest and head voice, and practicing jaw relaxation with new vowel exercises. They applied these techniques to their song, "No Good Deed," also introducing vowel modulation for challenging high notes. They planned to conclude "No Good Deed" in 1-2 weeks and then begin a new song, "It's Over, Isn't It?", with the next lesson scheduled for Monday.
