Kameliya - Get to know your vocal coach
Hi, I'm Kami! 🎶 I've been studying music since I was young—starting with piano, picking up guitar in high school, and eventually discovering that singing was my real strength. These days, vocals are my main instrument. I trained at The BRIT School, graduating in 2016 with a Triple Distinction* in Music, and later earned my degree from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, graduating with a 2:1 in 2020. I’m a singer-songwriter and regularly perform solo with my acoustic guitar. I’ve gigged at venues across Manchester (Night and Day, Band on the Wall, Deaf Institute) and London (The Troubadour, Soho bars, The Ivy House), as well as busking around both cities. During my time at RNCM and BRIT School, I also took part in a wide range of projects and bands, performing in everything from acoustic sets to full-band showcases. I was also part of a band called Tropical Boyfriend Catalogue, which was a fun and formative chapter of my music journey—playing original music, collaborating creatively, and gaining real-world experience on stage. Teaching Experience 🎓 I've been teaching music since 2021 and absolutely love it. I work with students of all ages and abilities—from toddlers to adults in their 70s. Singing lessons highlights
Whether you're learning for fun, building confidence, or working toward graded exams (ABRSM, LCM, Rockschool, Orange), I tailor every lesson to suit your individual goals, learning style, and musical interests. No two students are the same, so no two lessons are either! My students currently have a 100% exam pass rate, but just as importantly, they leave lessons feeling confident, motivated, and excited about their progress. I aim to create a supportive, relaxed environment where students feel comfortable trying new things, making mistakes, and growing as musicians. 🎵 Lesson Info Lessons usually run for 30–60 minutes depending on your age, level, and concentration span. In each lesson, we work on a balance of technique, musical understanding, and creativity. This might include vocal or instrumental exercises, rhythm and pitch training, music theory made simple, sight-reading, and of course learning songs you actually enjoy playing or singing. I’m always happy to include songwriting, improvisation, or performance skills if that’s something you’re interested in too. My goal is to keep lessons structured but fun, so learning never feels boring or overwhelming. 🎤 Let’s Make Music Together I would love to be part of your musical journey and help you reach your goals, whatever they may be — from performing on stage, to passing exams, to simply enjoying music as a hobby. If you’re thinking about starting lessons or looking for a new teacher, feel free to get in touch and ask any questions. I can’t wait to hear from you and start making music together. What songs have you always wanted to learn?
