Hi there! My name is Jack Rowe and I want to be your new guitar teacher! I have taught electric and acoustic guitar for the last 15 years, with a wide knowledge of techniques, theory, scales, modes, improvisation, and learning and working things out by ear as some of my main strengths. I'm also a gigging musician so everything you learn from me can be put into practice on stage!! I'm primarily a self taught player, and I I help budding players get going from very beginning, intermediate players avoid the pitfalls that all players face, and can take advanced guitar players through the trickiest of techniques! If you're wanting to tackle big iconic rock solos, play the blues, strum away around a barbecue, or improvise with the best of them - I can help you!! So if you're just starting your journey, or are well on your way have hit a wall, or just want to improve in general - i'm here for you!

My teaching methodology is simple - if i know how to do it, I can show you how to do it! I can start you off with basic chords to throw together a song within a lesson or two! I can give you a map around your fretboard in any key! I can train your ear to pick out the notes you hear in your favourite songs! And I can break down the mechanics of guitar techniques to help you get the most of out your guitar playing! So if you want to learn about alternate picking, legato, sweep picking, tapping, string skipping, harmonics, bending strings, strumming, hybrid picking, or anything else - I can break it all down! I can also give you all of my knowledge on chord construction - how to build a chord out of a simple scale, and how you play that chord ANYWHERE on the guitar! Hand written tabs are available for all lessons!
