Nathaniel - Get to know your vocal coach
As a Bachelor’s-educated vocalist with a deep passion for personalized learning, I offer voice lessons rooted in traditional technique, emphasizing healthy breath support, physical engagement, pitch accuracy, and tone development. My teaching style is particularly suited for jazz, pop, musical theater, folk, and country genres. I believe in a well-rounded musical education—so in addition to vocal technique, students will gain music theory skills including understanding of scales, harmony, and sight-singing. Through engaging exercises, vocal warmups, and song-specific strategies, I help singers uncover and refine their most confident and expressive voice. Whether you're just beginning or already advanced, my goal is to elevate your skills, boost your artistry, and build your musical confidence. Let’s hit those high notes and grow together!

Singing lessons highlights
In my tutoring approach, I emphasize discipline and consistent practice over quick fixes. I teach singing by teaching you how to practice effectively. Through a variety of targeted warmups, students develop an awareness of what feels and sounds good in their voice—allowing them to "copy and paste" that sensation into any song they sing. With a background spanning genres such as pop, musical theater, country, jazz, folk, and more, I also place strong emphasis on stylistic interpretation. Once a student has built a solid foundation in vocal technique, we explore how to use creativity and stylistic nuance to bring songs to life—deciding together what vocal "colors" to paint each piece with. Additionally, I guide students through a step-by-step introduction to music theory, specifically tailored for singers, so they can better understand melody, harmony, and phrasing. I create a supportive, encouraging environment where each student can confidently grow and thrive on their vocal journey.
