Brooks - Violin teacher
Hello! My name is Brooks Berg. I am a violin and piano instructor with 13+ years experience teaching students of all ages and levels. My style is patient and enthusiastic—I keep the atmosphere casual and light while we work to meet your musical goals. Classically trained, but comfortable teaching any musical genre. My approach is to build a foundation with music theory concepts, as well as an understanding of the physicality of the instrument to encourage ease in movement. Earned DMA in violin performance from Boston University, MM from New York University, and BA from Luther College. Professionally I’ve performed throughout the United States and Europe as a soloist and in groups. All I ask of my students is a willingness to learn and to respect our time by notifying of cancellations as far in advance as possible. I’m excited to work with you!
