Hi, I'm Nikko and I'm a piano teacher. I enjoy teaching piano classes the most because it inspires me and gives me great joy to see my students improve their musical abilities and finally, be able to perform a masterpiece that they long to play. I have been teaching piano online since 2020 and have taught over 4000 lessons. I used to teach music at Anglo-Singapore International School in Bangkok. I guide students and help them progress on their skills, especially in sight reading, proper counting, ear training, expressive playing or applying correct dynamics. I recommend John Thompson's Piano Courses or other popular authors if the student is a beginner. I am also flexible when my students request to study their preferred piano pieces. For trial lessons, we will do the following: 1) Performance/Audition: The student will perform any piece (memorized) so that the teacher can have an idea of the student’s skill level in piano playing, and observe fingering and hand position. 2) Sight Reading Exam: Sample pieces will be provided in pdf format. We will use this to test and determine the student's level in sight reading. Requirements for online piano class: *Students will need to have their own instrument, a laptop with webcam or a tablet or a smartphone. *Printed copy of the lesson material or a tablet with a PDF viewer. *Camera orientation should be side view where the student’s face and the student’s hands can be seen. *Dual camera setup can also be used, but not required. *Noise-cancellation is not recommended for piano class
