Dynamic Singing Lessons with a Franciscan University Educator

Hello, I'm a lover of music and passionate voice tutor! I have many years of experience performing in concerts, competitions, theater, orchestras, and weddings. Specifically, I've been awarded multiple times in singing, and I've done almost every genre from opera to rock, so whatever your style is, I can help you reach your potential! Previously, I also tutored in French and violin, which I've been playing since I was five years old, since it is a tradition in my family. Right now, I'm also a royalette dance instructor with background knowledge in ballet, swing, salsa, bachata, and tap. My favorite part about teaching any of these skills is unlocking the hidden talents of my students and watching them light up when they conquer something new! Last but not least, I have a Master of Arts degree in philosophy with plans to earn my PhD, and I also enjoy writing poetry and traveling!

My style is engaging and expressive, centering on the student's unique personality! Everyone is different, so what I want is to get to know you and then tailor my approach to your specific needs. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate, older or younger, I can be the one to assist you on your singing journey in a detailed, understanding way. Some of my specialities include refining pitch, improvising harmonies, beautifying tone, and teaching proper breath control. I encourage dialogue and rich participation throughout to ensure that you are internalizing the material we cover. Though I do believe in the efficacy of certain standard vocal pieces and exercises, I'd love to learn your individual music taste and am open to working on specific songs that you like! Also, if necessary, we can also use karaoke tracks, metronomes, and singing apps to enhance our sessions.
