Violin concept taught by Kirstie
Kirstie tutored Amelia in a piano lesson, focusing on chords, Alberti bass technique, pentatonic scales in C, G, D, and A, and note durations (whole and half notes) from a new piano book. Amelia was assigned to practice Pink Pony Club, chords with alternating hand patterns, the scales, and the first two pages of the new piano book, and to turn the metronome back on when feeling better.

The lesson focused on refining violin technique, including scales, arpeggios, and vibrato. The learner, a student at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, diligently practiced the G major scale and arpeggio with a metronome, working on consistent shifts and increasing tempo. Vibrato exercises were also a key component, aimed at improving finger technique. Additionally, the lesson covered refining bow control, rhythm accuracy, and intonation through various finger exercises and specific passages. A new piece in B minor was introduced, with an emphasis on note identification and rhythm. For the next lesson, the student was assigned numbers 17 and 18 from their book, with a particular focus on the C scale, and was also advised to prioritize the second part of the B minor piece, with the first part to be covered subsequently.

Kirstie Bruno guided Edwin (Luna) through a comprehensive piano lesson, covering various exercises such as scales, the 'Remember Me' piece, chords, and arpeggios. Edwin dedicated his time to improving speed and accuracy in his scales and arpeggios, integrating new sections of 'Remember Me,' and learning a fresh chord pattern. For homework, he is to practice scales with two notes per click, the entire page of 'Remember Me,' the new chord pattern, and arpeggios at increased speeds, with a strong emphasis on correct fingering.

During a recent violin lesson, Kirstie and Francesca delved into various violin techniques. Their practice included scales, arpeggios with slurs, and position exercises from their book, with a keen focus on refining intonation and vibrato. For her homework, Francesca was tasked with ordering a mute and diligently practicing scales and arpeggios using specific metronome settings, as well as position exercises 15-17, ensuring to incorporate vibrato. Kirstie also shared a link to a Hillary Hahn performance, offering a source of inspiration.

Kirstie and Elizabeth recently focused on a range of musical elements. Their lesson included work on scales, musical pieces (numbers 88, 89, 90, and 91), and "Carol of the Battles." Elizabeth diligently practiced scales with a metronome and concentrated on specific sections of the pieces. A new part was also added to "Carol of the Battles" during their time together. For her continued practice, Elizabeth is tasked with practicing scales between 170-190 bpm, mastering both lines of number 89 simultaneously, and working on the new segment of "Carol of the Battles" with a metronome, progressing from 100 bpm to 110 bpm. She is also set to advance to the intermediate level of the rhythm game in their upcoming lesson.
