I am a BIMM Graduate with a BA in Popular Music Performance. I work with students of all ages, to help you find your voice through fun, engaging, and motivating lessons. My lessons are relaxed yet active, taking real-life examples and creative-activities to help make each session enjoyable and a safe space for your confidence to grow. Whether you’re just starting out your singing career or you’re looking to level up, I’m here to support your journey and help you to develop your skills. Delving into the areas you need to develop! We will focus on breath control, melody, rhythm and more, to support you through your development and ensure the progression is stable and focus on vocal health to keep your practice safe. Whist also providing clear, constructive feedback and set goals to help students track their progress and understand how to further improve . My aim is to make singing feel natural, expressive and enjoyable for students. Whilst also providing the tools needed for them to develop independently.

Singing concepts taught by Mia
The session focused on vocal exercises and applying techniques to the song "Work Song". The Student practiced staccato breathing and sirens, and worked on relaxing their voice to achieve a more natural tone in the lower register. The student will practice the techniques discussed and the song in preparation for the next session, and the tutor will provide riff video to aid learning.

The student practiced staccato breathing exercises, scales, and worked on feeling vibrations in their chest. Homework includes selecting a song to work on the lower register, and specifically working on the verse from 'Take Me to Church'.

The student and tutor worked on vocal exercises, staccato techniques, and riff exercises using the "Havana" warm-up. The student practiced the song "Thinking Out Loud", focusing on rhythm and delivery. A video of a riff was promised to be sent for the student to practice, and the next lesson was scheduled for January 4th.
