Singing Lessons with Expressive Styles at St. Francis de Sales

It may be odd to check my educational background to see that I graduated bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Classical Philosophy and Sacred Theology, yet I preferred to teach music and singing. It is the passion which led me to share and educate music to others. I have experienced teaching choirs in different localities, of different age groups from children to elders in more than four years. I started composing songs for the church since 2011, had a short course in musical arrangement and attempted to study formally composition in the University of the Philippines College of Music, although I was not able to finish it. But still, I continue pursuing my passion by teaching choirs, individual music lessons, and basic piano lessons. My goal is to accompany those who dream in music reach their aspirations, and let the passion within ignite. Let us journey together with our passion in music.

My personal approach is through motivation, confidence building, and patience. In every lesson, there will be a personal engagement in which I require the student to actively participate. It would be easier and faster if the student will give full trust to the process. The curriculum is structured and the phasing will depend upon the capability of the student to cope up. No pressure is needed upon the phasing but it must be assured that there is a progress in every lesson. Basic music knowledge must be evaluated to determine the level to start with. The lessons will be tailored depending on the student's level. It is expected that in every lesson, there will be vocalization, music theory apprehension, and vocal techniques and trainings. In the end of the course, it is expected that the student would be able to perform classical singing, pop singing and general singing.
