In our first session, I usually focus on building comfort and trust, identifying learning goals, and spotting any gaps or misunderstandings we can work on together. I believe learning should be engaging, so I use analogies, visuals, real-world examples, and interactive methods to make complex ideas easier to grasp. Rather than lecturing, I prefer to guide students toward their own "aha" moments by asking questions and encouraging them to explain concepts back to me in their own words. This helps build deeper understanding and long-term retention. I also focus on teaching students how to think critically, break down problems, and develop study habits that make them more independent and confident over time. When students struggle, I never rush. I’m patient and encouraging, and I treat mistakes as learning opportunities, not failures.
