Singing concept taught by Sonia
Sonia guided Chelsee through a vocal lesson, concentrating on breath control and various vocal techniques. The focus was on diaphragmatic breathing, which Chelsee applied to singing "Do-Re-Mi." During the lesson, Chelsee honed her controlled inhales and exhales, practiced breath conservation, and worked on vocal 'flipping' for higher notes. For homework, Chelsee was tasked with practicing exhaling for 20 seconds and mastering proper singer's breaths, avoiding recovery breaths.

Sonia Purani guided a student through an online singing lesson, focusing on diaphragmatic breathing, vocal placement, and the solfège scale. This student, who is currently enrolled at the USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles, practiced breath control techniques and began learning to identify and utilize their head voice. A makeup lesson was scheduled for later in the week due to Sonia's upcoming vacation, and they also discussed transitioning to lessons via FaceTime.

Sonia and Clare finalized the arrangements for Mary's upcoming singing lessons, confirming they would begin on Thursdays at 5:30 PM starting September 11th. The discussion covered Mary's practice, song selections, and her school schedule. Additionally, they addressed technical issues related to online lessons and explored Sonia's musical background and academic interests.

During their vocal lesson, Sonia and Tim concentrated on various vocal exercises, including breathing techniques and the 'dome pattern' utilizing solfège syllables. Sonia offered targeted feedback to Tim regarding his pitch accuracy, detailing methods to prevent singing notes either too sharp or too flat. To aid Tim's independent practice, Sonia later provided him with a voice recording of the 'Doy lo' pattern.

Sonia and Kwamé's recent singing lesson centered on refining vocal techniques. They focused on breathing exercises to enhance breath control and engaged in vocal warm-ups using the solfège scale. Kwamé specifically worked on the 4-7-8 breathing method and a particular scale-based vocal pattern. For continued practice in these vocal arts, Sonia provided a YouTube video to help him independently master the pattern.

Sonia, a vocal coach, led an online singing lesson with Rob, where they mutually decided to move their future lessons from the Wingi platform to Zoom or FaceTime. The lesson itself focused on essential breathing exercises, Solfeggio scales, and a challenging vocal pattern, all aimed at enhancing Rob's technique, particularly his breath control and his ability to 'flip' into falsetto smoothly. Sonia provided detailed feedback and assigned Rob specific practice exercises to improve his control over these vocal transitions. They concluded by discussing scheduling and agreed to communicate via text for future arrangements.
