Singing Lessons with AMDA Educator - Vocal Techniques and Performance

Hello, my name is Aeja Barrows. I’m a musical theater actor as well as a musical theater voice technique coach and a musical theater acting coach. I trained as a classical voice student at Baltimore School for the arts. As well as trained at American Musical Dramatic Academy. I offer engaging lesson plans and helpful advice for the young actor. I mainly focus on how to implement vocal technique into giving exhilarating performance. Furthermore, preparing for the audition room. 🎭 Whether you are just starting out or i’ve been performing and auditioning for a while. Before any lesson I require every students to have at least 1-4 contrasting vocal selections with a backing track to each piece. My method to teaching you how to become successful in musical theatre is to connect the body and voice. Making sure you feel comfortable within your body is essential to become the character within any song you choose to sing. I mainly specialize in musical theatre training however, if you’re interested in learning how to strengthen your vocal technique in general I also specialize in the vocal technique by improving pitch quality, vocal endurance and tone. My teaching style mainly caters to individual students however, the more the merrier! I have learned from working with Broadway professionals that you gain more from watching as well as doing. Furthermore, small groups with less than 10 are suitable, so everyone has a chance to shine ✨! Not only will you gain immense knowledge of vocal and acting technique I will also fill you in on the ways you can improve as a professional.
